Release 9.7.0 prepares the software package for AI coding agents and adds a command line tool for building ep-configs.
- The software package now supports AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Codex. An
AGENTS.mdin its root points them to the documentation, which now ships as Markdown with the package. The support covers Robot Framework today; pytest follows in the next release. See how AI agents test firmware on real pins. - The new command line tool
ep-configvalidates and builds ep-configs from scripts or CI. - Experimental support for dynamic models with the FMI Endpoint, so models from tools such as Simulink or OpenModelica can simulate the environment.
- The Memory-Mapped-I2C Endpoint lets a system model react to registers the DUT writes, and the UART Endpoint accepts up to 400 bytes per transmission.
All changes are listed in the release notes.
