Release 9.6.0 adds pytest as a second test frontend next to Robot Framework and makes it possible to run system tests against firmware without the EP runtime.

  • Experimental support for pytest. The software package contains a documented example to get started. In the future, both Robot Framework and pytest will be supported as test frontends.
  • The System block in the ep-config is now optional and is omitted for firmware without the EP runtime.
  • The UART Endpoint now has an unlimited receive buffer, and the CAN Endpoint supports additional bitrates.
  • New documentation chapters on version compatibility and on integrating the software package into your project.
